Even though Eid al Adha officially happened last week, today everyone celebrated together in school. There were lots of activities in school including making and decorating Eid biscuits with Rangoli patterns, craft activities, tough trays to explore and an Eid themed scavenger hunt!
Some of our lucky children even enjoyed their own Eid party in the pool and practiced synchronised swimming together dancing and having fun.
Eid al Adha is celebrated by some Muslim families by wearing new clothes and going to the Mosque.
They give thanks to Allah for the blessings they receive and share meals with family and friends. They may also share cards and gifts.
In S5 they had fun exploring different beautiful Eid clothes and chose which ones they wanted to dress up in, admiring our outfits in the mirror and then dancing to Bollywood music.
Some of our children came back to school with lovely patterns painted on their hands using mehndi.
In the afternoon we had an Eid disco and had a great time!
