Sensory Adventures

We have had lots of sensory learning in school this week, and out of school too. Some of our littlest learners from the Explorers went on their first trip out to the Space Centre in Preston.

They were all very excited and had a wonderful time, exploring the lovely resources in the setting. They made the most of their first sensory adventure out of school - and even sneaked in a treat from Mcdonalds for lunch!

In S5 they took advantage of World Book Day to have a sensory story adventure. They made tomato sandwiches from our story of Grandad’s Farm. It was a good opportunity to choose what we needed and follow a simple sequence, and they all enjoyed eating the sandwiches at snack time.

Im enjoyed sharing a story with Kiki and her friend Ah and she did some good signing to tell everyone what was happening in the story.

In the afternoon they all watched a live performance of the story of the Rapid Rocket Adventure.
