World Mental Health Day 2025

Today we have been thinking all about looking after our mental health and wellbeing.

We have been wearing yellow to raise awareness and to take part in the ‘Hello Yellow’ charity fundraiser for Young Minds. Lots of classes have been doing things that pupils enjoy and make us feel happy.

TG2 enjoyed exploring the props for our Hello Yellow fundraiser. They helped to sell cakes - yellow lemon ones - in the tuck shop. They then took some chocolates to the staff rooms for staff to enjoy.

TG1 enjoyed a mindfulness session this morning creating yellow collage hearts using different textures and shades of yellow and gold.

And in S4 there was a lovely sensory yoga session going on!

S8 did one of their favourite activities - baking - and made biscuits that they shared!

Staff joined in the day, doing ‘random acts of kindness’ for each other!

We are asked those who took part to donate a small amount via the special Young Minds link - by wearing yellow and giving what you can, you can show young people that they are not alone and that things can get better.

So far, we’ve smashed our target raising over £161 - amazing - and it’s not too late to donate if you want to!
