On Thursday we celebrated our pupil leavers in a special assembly, where we joined together with their families to look at their achievements and look to the future, thinking about where each of them moves onto as they leave us.
They each received a framed proud letter, which staff had written highlighting why they are so amazing and why we are so proud of them - there were a few tears!
It was lovely to say final goodbyes to parents who we have known for many years, and there were some very nice comments made to staff about their children’s times at Newfield and the love, support and learning they have benefitted from here.

Today was the last day of the academic year for our pupils, as staff will be getting ready for the new academic year at the start of next week, before they break up for summer.
For our class of 2024 it was their final day at Newfield, and for two long standing members of staff, it was also their final day.
Assistant head Lois leaves us for a deputy head position at a new special school in Lancashire, and Carol who has been a support assistant here since 1989 is leaving us for a long, happy and very well deserved retirement!
We celebrated these special ladies with an assembly where they received gifts, cards, flowers and lots of hugs from children, colleagues and even some parents.

They wore their Newfield Queen sashes and we clapped them down the corridor - they were delighted and overwhelmed by the expression of love from everyone in their Newfield Family.
It is always a happy time, seeing our pupils and staff move on, but tinged with sadness because we will miss them all!
We are wishing everyone a lovely summer break and we look forward to giving you more information and pictures of our exciting Newfield adventures in Autumn 2025!
