Celebration of Achievement 2025 - Secondary and Post 16

This morning it was the turn of our secondary and post 16 phase to have their moment to shine in their Celebration of Achievement Assembly.

We were delighted to be joined by a huge crowd of parents and family members, as well as our governor, and manager of Appletrees, Jerry Wood.

Our special guest today was Alison Ashworth-Taylor, who has worked as a partner to school and who after 30 years as a headteacher is now retiring with this being her final ever awards assembly.

The children were absolutely fantastic - they sang, they danced, they clapped and cheered each other on.

Our brass band group, who have been working since January with Richard Broomhead from Bolton Music Service absolutely blew us away - pun intended - with their fantastic musical interlude, in which we were able to participate and we all also learn something new!

In her speech, Alison described herself as ‘overwhelmed’ in the best celebration assembly she had ever been to in her 30 years, due to the love, achievement and shared joy of the children, families and staff of the Newfield Family.

It was a wonderful occasion, where we ‘reached for the stars’ and the true Newfield spirit shone loud and clear!
