Sports Week - Dodge Ball

This week we are celebrating sports week with lots of activities going on throughout school.

To get us in the mood, last Friday, a team of 8 KS3 pupils went to Broadfield School to participate in a dodgeball session. First we practised our throwing and catching skills before playing a Y7 semi formal class team from Broadfield.

We learnt lots of new rules about where to throw the ball, staying behind the cones on our side of the court and trying to catch the ball to get the other players out.

The Rose School also attended the session. We had lots of fun meeting other pupils and using Broadfields sports hall facilities. We then headed back to school to enjoy our lunch!

Everyone in the team was presented with a ‘Dodgeball Award’ Certificate during the Friday afternoon assembly.

They all behaved impeccably and represented Newfield so well.

Well done to everyone involved.
