Newfield @ Blackburn Market Summer 25

Today some of our older students went down to our termly event, sell gin items on Blackburn Market! It was a very wet morning, but HLTAs Sharon and Mel were there at 7am, seeing up the stall with the other market traders.

We were selling all kinds of items that the classes had made - plants, cups, keyrings, books, friendship bracelets, windmills and other decorations.

The pupils went down with Lois and had a great time meeting members of the public, practising communication skills, selling things and taking money - they also had chance to brows the other stalls, and look around the market - including having a go on the grand piano down there!

We were delighted to have a couple of former students spot us and come to say hello - they were enjoying doing their own shopping and we also very happy to see their old Newfield Friends.

There were not a huge number of shoppers, but we made some money, promoted Newfield and had a good time!
