National Thank a Teacher Day 2025

Not all heroes wear capes.. and not all ‘teachers’ have the official title! All staff in school play a part in ‘teaching’ our children - being a teacher means sharing opportunities and time with children to help them learn and grow - it’s not just about the lesson time - every minute here is a learning experience for our children, and all of our staff play their part in that.

So today, we celebrated ‘teachers’ in the wider sense - saying a big thank you for all the hard work, dedication, care and support everyone puts into making the lives of our Newfield Children better!

To say thank you, on ‘National Thank a Teacher’ day we invited all staff to share a drink and a cake in the Darwen hall during the morning.

Staff joined together with some students and celebrated the wonderful ‘teaching’ that they are part of!

It makes us feel acknowledged and appreciated. Thank you to everyone who helped arrange it.
