Secondary WoW - Wonderdome

Today pupils in secondary department had Ben from the Wonderdome visit us. The Wonderdome is an inflatable plantarium which allows access to an immersive space experience. This has begun our Science Fair topic and was brought in to spark in interest and wonder in all things Science for our secondary or post 16 learners.

Each group enjoyed learning about man-kind’s journey to the Moon and all the amazing Scientific work that went in to get us there.

They took a trip with the astronauts to the Moon while learning about the space race, and the incredible environment made us all feel like we were really zooming through space and standing on the Moon.

Each session finished with a planets songs, which some of our learners knew so well they sang along!

It was a fantastic experience for all our learners and we extend a big thank you to Ben our presenter, who worked with each group to give them something accessible to them.
