Post 16 Street Food Festival

Today our students in post 16 took part in a street food festival, it was part of their ASDAN qualification developing independence skills and knowledge of the world.

All four classes have spent time learning about different countries in the spring term and they then had to choose a country and make typical food from that country.

We had a delicious range of foods from India, Mexico, Greece and Italy.

Before we enjoyed the fantastic street food, we all got together and learnt dances from each country and took part in team games to celebrate the cultures of the different countries, including playing a countries corner game. Students had dressed up in traditional attire - ranging from togas, to sombreros!

After lunch we went walking around the school with the flags we made, representing our countries and creating a festival vibe.

All the students and staff had an amazing day.
