Premises and Compliance Manager
Premises and Compliance Manager
Grade H - £38,626 - £42,708 (Pay award pending)
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Newfield School is seeking a Premises and Compliance Manager to take the lead in ensuring our school buildings and grounds are safe, secure, and fully compliant with all relevant regulations.
As our Premises and Compliance Manager, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day management of the school site. You’ll be responsible for:
- Overseeing the maintenance, security, and cleanliness of the school premises
- Ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation and statutory requirements
- Managing contractors and service providers
- Leading on risk assessments, fire safety, and emergency planning
- Contributing to long-term premises planning and development
We are seeking someone with experience in the following:
- Premises or facilities management
- Health and safety legislation and compliance
- Leading and managing staff and working with external partners

Education Health Care Assistant
Education Health Care Assistants – Grade C - Permanent
32.5 hours
£24,027 to £24,790 pro rata salary range
£12.45 to £12.85 per hour

We are looking to appoint a number of enthusiastic and committed Education Health Care Assistants to join our busy, demanding and rewarding school, starting in November 2025.
Under the direction of teachers and senior staff, you will provide support to individuals and groups of children to access outcomes as outlined in each individual’s Education Health Care Plan.
You will support pupil’s education, health, medical, physical and general care needs following agreed plans, promote effective communication for all pupils using a range of agreed strategies e.g.: Makaton, PECS, communication aides etc. and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
Whilst we particularly welcome applicants with experience of working with children and young people, it is more important that you have a child centred approach in working with our very special children as a full programme of training and development will be provided.
Please see details of working pattern below to be worked 39 weeks per year during term time including 5 annual professional development full days:
Hours per Week – 32.5
• Working Pattern – 8.30am to 3.30pm each day • Actual Salary £18,262 - £18,842 based on working part time during term time
You will also be required to work until 5 pm on six occasions per year in order to undertake training and meet with your class team – these dates will be planned in advance and you will have plenty of notice.

The HLTA role at Newfield can be deployed in a number of ways. This post is for the Post 16 department but candidates should be aware that if the needs of the school change, they could be deployed to any the key requirement roles (attached). You will support pupils’ education, health, medical, physical and general care needs following agreed plans, promote effective communication for all pupils using a range of agreed strategies e.g.: Makaton, PECS, communication aides etc. and take a lead role in the management of pupils and the classroom under the direction of the teacher. Welfare Assistant
Welfare Assistants – Grade B - Permanent 10 hours

We are looking to appoint a number of enthusiastic and committed Welfare Assistants to join our busy, demanding and rewarding school, starting in November 2025
Under the direction of teachers and senior staff, you will provide supervision of individuals and groups of children during lunchtime to support the school in the management of pupils at lunchtimes.
Applicants should have an interest in working with children, excellent standards of hygiene and be willing to undergo training in line with their duties.
Whilst we particularly welcome applicants with experience of working with children and young people, it is more important that you have a child centred approach in working with our very special children as a full programme of training and development will be provided.
Effective communication with children, young people, parents and carers will be an essential part of the role.
Please see details of working pattern below to be worked 39 weeks per year during term time including 5 annual professional development full days:
Hours per Week – 10 hours
• Working Pattern – 11.30am – 1.30pm – Monday to Friday • Actual Salary £5824 to £5915 based on working part time during term time
You will also be required to work 3.30pm until 5pm on six occasions per year in order to undertake training and meet with your class team – these dates will be planned in advance and you will have plenty of notice.
On the 5 annual professional development days you would be required to work 9am til 3pm.
You will be required to attend an Induction which will take place over 5 days. During this induction you will need to be available to work from 9am until 3.30pm all week. Details of this will be confirmed.
